She is a swords maniac so the first time he meet Zoro, she had no idea about who that swordman was, the thing that attracted her at first was theMeitou that Zoro own. She helped him to find 2 new swords since the old ones were broken.

In the other side Zoro was quite surprised to see a girl that similar to Kuina, the childhood friend that he lost when he was just a child, the person that make him wish to be the strongest swordman in the world.

When Tashigi knew that the boy she helped wat Roronoa Zoro, a pirates, she started catching him with rage. They started a short fight where Zoro won. After the fight Tashigi asked Smoker to be with him in the Strawhat's pirates hnting group.

It's not a case if Eiichiro Oda created a female character similar to Kuina, Zoro's childhood friend. They meet only few times but I'm sure that they'll meet again in future and that time we will know more about Tashigi and the bond she have with Kuina.

They are actually rivals but I think that there is a mistery around this duo and I hope that Oda will let us know more about it soon.
